Lily Of The Valley

In love with lily of valley from the neighbor's yard.

I love Lily of the Valley in the springtime. Delicate green shoots adorned with white little hats. The smell is intoxicating. I'm lucky enough to have a little patch behind my house. For the past few weeks I've been gathering bouquets for my dining table and bedside. Below Lily of The Valley fading at my Monday night dinner table.

  1. And what a name for a flower. I love the longer ones: Bird of Paradise, Forget-Me-Not, Baby's Breath, etc.

  2. I used to put Lily of the Valley in the little May Day baskets that I delivered to neighbors. My children are grown now, but they did May Day baskets and the elderly neighbors loved them....I guess it is one of those traditions that we have kind of "lost". So...many years down the road those Lily of the Valley will make great fillers for May Day Baskets that your future children make. :)

  3. LOVE this table setting. I like the dark wood with the blue. And of course, Lily of the Valley too. It's my favorite flower at this moment I think.

  4. We don't get lily of the valley here (I think? I've never seen it) and I'm so jealous. I love the way it looks.
